Definition: Crawl Budget (Part 4)
The maximum number of pages a search engine bot like Googlebot will crawl on a website in a given timeframe.
Crawl Budget represents the resources search engines allocate to crawl your website. Configuring clean HTTPS redirects, forcing sitemaps to contain strictly canonical URLs, and having proper internal links helps search engine crawlers discover and index pages faster without wasting budget.
